First Friday Oktoberfest is Here! 10/07 @ The Deli Diva!

Tonight’s the night! This is going to be a fun one, so make sure to be here. The party starts at 6pm with at least 10 food vendors bringing you the best foods in Largo along with lots of German foods to get you in the mood. O’Shy’s Tap House will be serving up a huge selection of beers to wash down all that yummy food. The music will be provided by authentic German bands, so bring your “dancin’ shoes” to do the polka and lots of other dances, and, oh yes….there will be the Chicken Dance, so come prepared to look like a fool and have a ball! 🙂

We’ll be out there serving up our hot pastrami sandwiches. I actually found out that pastrami is very common at Oktoberfests and that the Jewish people of Germany are attributed with bringing it to America, so you can’t get much more “Oktoberfest-y” than that!

I also am making Bavarian Goulash which is a German style beef stew.

And, what’s the best thing to go with a good German beer at Oktoberfest? A big, giant German salted soft pretzel, of course! Have yours with mustard or try some of our warm Beer Cheese sauce to dip it in.
