Monday 08/29 @ The Deli Diva

Glad to see hurricane Irene finally gone. Our family had to evacuate and haven’t been able to go back yet due to downed trees and no power, but everyone is fine and, other than some high water, their properties made it through ok too. Hope your families fared as well.

SOUP OF THE DAY: Pierogi!  Pierogi are the Polish version of cheese ravioli with the addition of mashed potatoes. Pasta pockets are filled with mashed potatoes and cheese. First I saute the pierogi to bring out all the flavors, then they go in a bath of broth with a bit more cheese and cream and a few special spices!

Don’t forget your can have a full lunch with soup or salad, half sandwich and drink for just $4.99 at The Deli Diva. In a hurry…don’t worry! We’ll pack it for you “to-go”.
