Italian Wedding Soup Today @ The Deli Diva

Come get your delicious Italian Wedding Soup today.   So many people love this soup, but do you know the history of it? Most people think it’s called that because it’s served at Italian weddings. Although it may be on the menu at many Italian weddings, that’s not how it got its name.

The Italian name for this soup is minestra maritata which translates to  “married soup”, referring to the mixing of the vegetables and meats in the soup and really has nothing to do with weddings, but no matter what definition you want to believe…one thing is certain…it’s a delicious combination of shredded chicken and tiny meatballs in a wonderful broth with some veggies. YUM!

Our Diva D-Lites keep flying out the door. In this tough economy, it’s nice to know that you can still get a complete, home cooked meal for  UNDER FOUR DOLLARS!

Our Diva D-Lite consists of an 8oz. cup of soup, a half sandwich version of any sandwich on our menu and your choice of soft drink or bottled water. All for $3.99! This is the best deal in town and you can only get it here at The Deli Diva!

I’ve been baking White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies daily and you’ve been loving them. Today I’ve got some in the oven again. I’ll have the cookies for $.99 as usual, but for the Nutella lovers out there, I’ll have some sandwiched together and stuffed with Nutella for $1.98! For those of you who haven’t discovered this most wonderful Italian treat, Nutella is a combination of cocoa, skim milk and hazelnuts and is a creamy, delicious chocolate cream sauce that really isn’t high in calories due to the skim milk and how the Nutella is made!

Stop by today for great food, interesting conversation and a fun time!
