Day Two Shut Down for the Water Leak

Monday evening we discovered a rather large water leak ( I don’t even want to see our water bill!) so we had to shut the water off, close the deli and find out what’s going on.

The Deli Dude is very good with things like this. He remodeled our entire house. He does plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and just about everything, so I figured it would be an easy fix for him…well not this time!

After spending all day and well into the evening yesterday crawling under the house, turning faucets on and off, digging trenches along the main water pipe, still no luck! Here we are, the perfect team…me on the computer, googling everything I can and shouting out instructions to him. Him, dirty from head to toe, digging, and crawling and twisting and turning everything we could find…still no leak.

Finally, we both threw in the towel and called the plumber. He’s coming this afternoon. First, he said he couldn’t be here until Friday, but when I told him we had to close the deli due to this water leak, he managed to find some time for us today.

We don’t know if this will be a quick fix, but from what the Deli Dude checked out today, we think it’s not going to be that easy or that fast. We can only hope and we’ll keep all of you posted as to the daily progress and when we can open back up.
