Lovin’ Ikea

Ok, we finally did it…we went to Ikea and fell in love with the store and the whole atmosphere of the place!

Ever since Ikea opened up over in Tampa last year, I’ve wanted to go, but we never did, until recently and WOW! what an experience! We ended up coming home with a bunch of new furniture for our house, but even if you don’t want or need new furniture, you have to go check it out! They have amazingly low prices on everything from towels and lamps to curtain and bedspreads. It’s not just a “furniture” store, but an “every single thing you didn’t even know you needed” store!

Think of it as a day at Disney World, only without the rides! Many people describe it as a “theme park”. It truly is the most unique shopping experience. They even have an area to leave the little ones to play under licensed supervision, and the meatballs…you MUST eat the Swedish Meatballs! Yummy!

So, the next time you are sitting around the house bored, just hop over to Ikea and be sure to get a map when you first arrive, follow the arrows on the floor,  and have a great time! You might find yourself coming home with some new goodies you never knew you needed!

Don’t forget to come check us out with the Tampa Bay Rays this Saturday. Here’s a link to the article: http://www.tampabay.com/prlink/SPCA-Tampa-Bay-Scheduleds-a-Grand-Slam-Day-of-Events-on-Saturday-September-18th,47034

It’s a great store, well laid out and we were there for 5 1/2 hours without even realizing it! We went just “to look” and ended up coming home with a living room full of new furniture! I can’t wait to go back! 🙂
