Testing Dessert Recipes….Poor Me!

I tested two fudge recipes, which, after sampling a few pieces of each, went straight into the trash. Then on to some brittles. I did come up with a really tasty cashew and macadamia brittle, but tossed another recipe for a sunflower brittle, although I will try to work sunflowers into something else.

Then I mixed up a recipe for a chocolate nut strudel which turned out to be just awful! So it hit the trash! Next came a baklava, which was so easy to make and tasted fabulous! So that, along with the brittle, made the dessert menu along with our yummy brownies, cheesecakes and macaroons.

I dare not step on the scale today, as I’m afraid to after I “sacrificed” my body for the business yesterday testing all these sugar laden desserts and have more to test today!

Yes, like they say…it’s a tough job but somebody’s got to do it! Just stay off the scale for a few days while testing those great cookies and treats!
