Fighting “Bully” Hall

city hall

I guess everyone has heard the term, “you can’t fight City Hall”. I say you CAN fight them and also a better name might be “Bully” Hall.

Remember back in high school all the bullies were really the people who were so afraid of life they used their bullying tactics to cover up the fact that they had insecurities and, in most cases, felt inferior to the rest of  us.

In my dealings with our local authorities at Bully Hall, it seems that is where every one of the sad, little bullies from schools around the world ended up working as adults!

They use their imagined “power” to put the citizens’ lives on hold over ridiculous things. In our case, it’s the unresonable hoops they make business owners jump through just to open up. At this point, six weeks into trying to get our permits, they have managed to lose our files, our applications and our payments. Luckily I keep copies of everything so I have been doing their jobs for them for several weeks now.

It also seems that each department within the same building have decided not to confer with each other, as they all keep asking us for the same things we just provided to the other departments. At this point we are victims of overwhelming ineptitude from the bullies within Bully Hall.

I have decided enough is enough! The Diva will now start charging Bully Hall for the amount of money we are losing each day they hold us up from opening our business. Of course I don’t expect that I will ever see a nickel from them, but maybe, just maybe, it might spark a little fire under some of them to actually do the jobs they were hired to do…or at least let them know that they can’t bully everyone and that some of us actually WILL fight Bully Hall!
